➡ What is your educational background ?
Bachelor’s degree: Engineering, with a minor in Applied Physics
Dual Master’s degree – Home University (ULB): Electrical Engineering (
Dual Master’s degree – Host University(KEIO): Engineering, with a focus on human-computer interfaces, and more precisely VR and AR human-computer interfaces
➡ What professional path have you pursued thus far, and how has your dual degree contributed to your career ?
After my graduation, I worked in VR- and AR-related startups as an R&D engineer for almost 4 years and, since last year, I have been working as a game engine #programmer for a video game studio.
I had always aspired to work on state-of-the-art technologies on an international stage, especially in relation to interactive entertainment, to learn a new language and live in a new culture. Pursuing a double degree programme gave me the opportunity to do just that.
➡ What advice would you give to future graduates interested in pursuing a mobility program or a dual degree?
If you get the chance, pursue a mobility program or even better a double degree program! And, ideally, in a country that will challenge you to step outside of your comfort zone and experience something new!
Through a mobility or double degree program, you can not only pursue fields that might not be available in your home university, but you can also discover how the industry or academia work on a global level, learn a new language and experience a new culture. A mobility or double degree program will broaden your knowledge, skills and opportunities and, on top of this, it will be an enriching and fun experience.
