Under the theme “Embracing Diversity,” the T.I.M.E. General Assembly provides a valuable opportunity for colleagues from around the world to share diverse academic and cultural perspectives, deepen mutual understanding, and strengthen international collaboration. Founded in 1875, Doshisha University is one of Japan’s oldest private universities and has placed a strong emphasis on education in an international outlook. More than a decade after the GA was first held in Japan in 2015, it is an honor for Doshisha University to host the GA this time and to welcome colleagues to Kyoto. The T.I.M.E. General Assembly has long served as an excellent forum for deepening academic connections and strengthening collaboration within the T.I.M.E. community. On this occasion, we likewise hope that participants will gain insight into our approaches to education and research, and that meaningful exchanges will take place across disciplines and institutions.
