T.I.M.E. Advisory Committee Members (12 world-class scientific and technological universities) gathered for the T.I.M.E. Advisory Committee, which took place at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, on 26 June 2022. During this meeting, new steps for the T.I.M.E. Association were discussed and in particular our collaboration with companies, T.I.M.E. international seminars at the Master level and our membership expansion policy.
T.I.M.E. brings together over fifty universities from 23 countries. Their common goal is to train bilingual and bicultural engineers whose outstanding quality among many is their ability to adapt to and work in multicultural environments quite different from the countries where they studied. In an uncertain age where democracy and academic freedom are threatened throughout the world by trends such as nationalism, T.I.M.E represents a global community of science and technology universities committed to building human capital fit to meet the challenges and seize the opportunities of our time.
The network was created in 1989 at the initiative of École Centrale Paris, and today CentraleSupélec perpetuates the T.I.M.E. Network’s initial aim: to promote student exchanges as part of engineering courses leading to a Master’s double-degree. These programmes involve a long period of studying abroad, participating fully in a host institution, learning a new language and obtaining a second degree in a foreign country, and are considered by CentraleSupélec and T.I.M.E. to be the best training for engineers to meet international employment market requirements.
